Griffin’s, the beloved New Zealand biscuit bakers, sought to run an engaging nationwide promotion: “Be in to win a bite of $10,000.” The campaign required customers to purchase two packs of biscuits from Countdown/Woolworths stores and then enter online with contact information and proof of purchase. The challenge was to build a robust digital platform that could manage these entries, process receipt uploads, and facilitate a complex, staggered prize draw system with varying prizes.

    This was a highly collaborative project. Our team worked closely with the creative agency Multiplied, who managed the overall promotion, to understand the intricate mechanics of the prize draw. We designed a microsite that seamlessly integrated with the promotion’s artwork and matched the distinctive styling of the Griffin’s brand on a bespoke promotional domain.

    We developed a microsite with key technical specifications including fields for contact information, a system for receipt uploads, and a simple opt-in for future marketing. To make the promotion more exciting and ensure all entrants had an opportunity to win across the promotional period, we implemented advanced probability and randomiser controls within the microsite functionality to manage the staggered prize draws.
