# Optimising Microsoft 365 for Engineering NZ

Engineering New Zealand partnered with Dynamo6 to transform its Microsoft 365 environment. By overcoming the challenges of a hybrid setup, Teams sprawl, and a lack of governance, we helped them create a more collaborative, productive, and secure digital workplace for their team of 80 people.

Engineering New Zealand, a non-profit representing over 22,000 professional engineers, had made some moves into the cloud but was being held back by legacy IT approaches. Their hybrid environment, with a mix of Microsoft 365 and on-premises file servers, made it difficult for people to find information. A rapid shift to remote work had also led to "Teams sprawl," with a large number of unorganised Teams creating notification overload and unclear communication channels.

With limited user training and a lack of clear governance, they were not getting the full value from their Microsoft 365 investment and needed a partner to help them build a more effective and secure way of working.
